Suggested Trekking Itinerary
Day 01: Arrive at Kathmandu
On your arrival at Kathmandu Airport you will be met by our representative who will take you to the hotel for the night.
Day 02: Kathmandu City Tour
After having breakfast you take a sightseeing tour around Kathmandu valley. You will visit many Buddhist and Hindu temples which reflect the local culture and tradition of Nepalese society. In the afternoon you will be taken back to your Hotel.
Day 03: Kathmandu to Pokhara (6 hours drive by car/van)
You are driven from Kathmandu to Pokhara, arriving at lunch time. Take the afternoon to look around the lake side and return back to Hotel, B.B. O/N at Pokhara.
Day 04: Pokhara to Tikhedhunga (1540m)
Take a one hour drive to Nayapul where your trek will start following the path of Modi Khola (river) passing Birethanti (1000m), a large and prosperous town. From there you will reach Tikhedhunga. O/N at Tikhedhunga.
Day 05: Tikhedhunga to Ghorapani (2870m)
The trail crosses Tikhedhunga continuing to the large Magar village of Ulleri (2080m) and climbs to Banthali (2250m). Observing the magnificent oak and rhododendron forest you climb to Nangathanti (2460m) and walking an hour uphill you will reach Ghorapani. O/N at Ghorapani.
Day 06: Ghorapani to Tatopani (2710m)
Crossing Chitre (2420m)) the trail descends towards Phalate (2390m) and down to Sikha, you will meet a large Magar village. The trail makes a gentle descent to Tatopani. There you will be able to enjoy the natural hot springs. O/N at Tatopani.
Day 07: Tatopani to Ghasa (2010m)
The trail starts up the Kali Gandaki Valley and from Tatopani; the route goes to Dana (1450m) a mostly Magar village, though there are a few Brahmins living there. After Dana you will reach Rupse Chhahara, the place famous for its beautiful waterfall and onward you will get Ghasa. O/N at Ghasa.
Day 08: Ghasa to Larjung (2560m)
Crossing several small ups and down you will be at Lete (2470m) and then you will enter Kalopani (2560m).The trail goes to Larjung (2560m). O/N at Larjung.
Day 09: Larjung to Jomsom (2710m)
The trail goes towards Khobang (2580m) and enters the large village of Tukuche (2580m) which is a large Thakali village. As the trail proceeds you can see the Agricultural project established in 1966 after this you will reach Marpha (2680). Following the Kaligandaki River you will finally get to Jomsom (2760m). In Jomsom there an Airport, Mustang Eco Museum, ACAP visitor centre and permit check post. O/N at Jomsom.
Day 10: Jomsom to Kagbeni (2800 m)
The trial to Kagbeni is easy, flat and also windy. In Eklaibhatti you will find a few lodges on the bank of Kaligandaki River and going a little bit onwards you will reach Kagbeni which is the entrance of Upper Mustang (Lo- Manthang). O/N at Kagbeni.
Day 11: Kagbeni to Muktinath (3800m)
Climbing steeply up the Jhong valley you will join the direct trail to Muktinath from Eklebatti and reach to Jharkot. Then the trail climbs to Muktinath which is the most famous religious place of Hindu as well as Buddhist people. Here you will see the big temple of Lord Vishnu and near to the temple there is a heliport also. O/N at Muktinath.
Day 12: Muktinath to Jomsom
Trek back to Jomsom. O/N at Jomsom.
Day 13: Jomsom to Pokhara
Fly back to Pokhara. Sightseeing around Pokhara valley (Begnas Lake, Rupa Lake, and Devi’s fall). O/N at Hotel, B.B.
Day 14: Pokhara to Kathmandu
Drive back to Kathmandu (6 hours drive by bus/van), O/N at Hotel, B.B.
Day 15: Transfer to Airport for your onward destination.
